Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far. Check out what we had for dinner last night! I love toum because it tastes great with almost any food you choose! We decided to have it with steak shish kebabs, grilled potatoes, and grilled zucchini. I love wrapping my steak in pita bread and then dipping it into some toum before taking a bite. Yummm! Dipping some grilled potatoes in the toum was pretty delicious too! As simple as this dinner was, it was incredibly flavorful! Check out our toum recipe here!

Here's a recipe for a dish that is not specifically Lebanese, but very delicious with toasted pita bread! Eva learned this recipe from her mother and has been making this dip for as long as I can remember. Of all the amazing dips she prepares, this is probably my favorite. This dip makes a great appetizer for a party and is easy to put together. You can also pair it with chips or crackers or with whatever else you'd like!
Please join me in wishing my mother Eva a very happy birthday!
Mom, You are more than just an amazing cook, you are also an amazing mother! I am so blessed to have you in my life. This blog is not only a tribute to our grandmothers and aunts, but also to you! Happy Birthday! From your very grateful daughter, Georgette xoxo Happy Sunday! We were so excited yesterday that it was finally the weekend! Our favorite way to celebrate after a long week is to cook up a delicious Lebanese feast. We had been craving kibbeh nayeh and tabouli, so of course, we finally made some!
Hi Friends! Today is a special day. A year ago on this day, we posted our very first recipe! We can't believe Eva's Lebanese Cooking has been around for a whole year!
Blogging and sharing recipes has been such a rewarding experience for us. I love that I have found a way to document my mother's (and grandmother's, great grandmother's, etc.) Lebanese recipes and share them with not only the people in my life, but also with people around the world. Getting comments from people across the country thanking us for posting recipes that their elder Lebanese relatives used to cook is truly a wonderful feeling. Eva's Lebanese Cooking has developed so much this year and I can't wait to see how much it will grow in the years to come. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported our blog and helped it grow. You do not know how much your feedback and comments mean to my mother and me! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sincerely, Georgette & Eva |
