Mint is not only a perfect garnish for dishes, but it's also an important ingredient in many Lebanese recipes. It's a vital ingredient in our Cucumber and Yogurt Salad, and is eaten often on top of Za'atar Manoush and Feta Cheese Manoush. It's also a great addition to any salad, including our Fattoush. It can be a healthy and refreshing addition to any dish!
Before you grow mint, you should know that it will spread and multiply. If you're planting it in the ground, be sure to plant it somewhere where you wouldn't mind it spreading. You can also plant it in a pot. If you use this method, you may need to replant it every year.
We found a nice spot in our yard to plant mint, and it certainly has spread!
More mint means more yumminess, so we don't mind!
There are also different kinds of mint leaves you can plant. Eva uses spearmint because it's not as bitter.
